My Studio Gets Invaded

So Aaron has a buttload of work to do for his Finals at school; scanning and formatting some of his excellent illustrations for his portfolio. "Come on by, man...you can use my scanner and computer." I say. Of course he's got some beautiful girl in tow. How does he do it? Her name is Alexandra, beautiful girl, beautiful accent (Brazilian, I think). In truth she is a friend of Aaron's, one of his classmates from the Academy. So of course I get NONE of MY work done...

Yeah, this work. Because I'm COMPLETELY distracted by any lovely woman within a mile. It was good having the company in the 'Lair" for a rainy Saturday. Eventually, they finished and I got to focus. Aaron made the grade, so you know. Gots his BFA, yo! Alexandra was headed of to work in the Fashion District in NYC. I hope things are going great for her. You would know, Aaron. Have you talked with her?

Here is an OUTSTANDING watercolor by Aaron. He left the image on my desktop so now I'm posting it without his knowledge; HA! It's called "Mona". The man has some serious skills, no? "Creative" talent runs long and hard in this family; musicians, designers, dancers, writers and artists; celebrate it!

Some Fond Memories...

Hey All, here are some photos from last year. I believe this is from Saturday Night when I tagged along with the "young" cousins. We wound up at Cactus over on Rush Street near the "Gold Coast" (locally known as "The Viagra Triangle" because of all the old rich guys with young trophie wives in the area). It was LOUD and it was FUN getting to hang with family. Above are (l-r) Tonay, Stephanie, Nick,Doug, and Arthur.

Aaron showed up later that night. But in his photos he is so hideously deformed, the sight would surely drive a person MAD! :~)
More soon.
love to All

The Phat Cave

Sometimes office, sometimes classroom, sometimes lair; this is my studio. It's a storefront space located in a nice neighborhood knowns as Ravenswood Manor. Robert O'Meally, Nick, Uncle Mike and Douglas got a chance to visit the place last year. But this is where I do most of my work; spend most of my time; and do most of my pacing. I'm here EVERYDAY; I enjoy it. I'm lucky to do something that I love (drawing comics). I have new work coming out in July, right after I attend the Comic Convention in San Diego the week of the 22. Lots of noise being made about the book; Jack Of Fables. Google it and I'm sure a ton of stuff will pop up. Or just go to my blog to the right, Hilarity Ensues and you'll come across it in an old post.
Here's something I don't think anyone has seen; It's Bobby, Mike and Doug in front of the legendary Jazz Record Mart last Summer. I have plenty more photos to post so keep coming back y'all! Don't forget to post your own, too!!
Consider this the O'meally collective bulletin board. No news is too trivial.

peace and love!

Welcome!

It's been a year since our glorious reunion. I thought I'd set this blog up for us to use as a means to keep in touch and enjoy photos. I'll email everyone the info needed to log on and contribute to The O'Meally Chronicles. I've blogged here for a little over a year (see link to right, HILARITY ENSUES) and really enjoy it. It's easy and its' FREE! I hope you're all well and I look forward to seeing and reading your entries!
